Reading Challenge

 

The Forbidden Bookshelf is excited to announce that it will be hosting an erotic reading challenge for 2011!

The challenge comes complete with a fun incentive and multiple challenge levels that should appeal to newbies of the genre, and those of us who've been around the block! Don't act shy, you know who you are! :)

The questions is... will you get burned or scorched?

Challenge Rules:

• Pick your ‘heat’ challenge!

• Books can be novella's, novels, or a combination of the two. They can also be print and/or ebook format. 

• Challenge runs from January 1, 2011 - December 31, 2011

• You can start the challenge anytime during the year.

• When you finish your challenge, come back to our "Challenge" page at the top of the blog, leave a comment and tell us who you are, what ‘heat’ level you completed, and if you have a book blog, link your challenge page using Mr. Linky.

• At the end of the year, we will put all blogs who linked to their completed challenge into a magical little hat (i.e. random.org) to be entered into a $20 electronic gift card to a book store!! 

• Don't have a blog? That's okay!! Just email us your challenge level, book list, and a paragraph telling us what you liked/disliked about each book (So we know you read them).

The Flicker Challenge:

Read five forbidden books in the sub-genre’s of erotica, erotica romance, and/or BDSM.

The Smolder Challenge:

Read ten forbidden books in the sub-genre’s of erotica, erotica romance, and/or BDSM.

The Burn Challenge:

Read fifteen forbidden books in the sub-genre’s of erotica, erotica romance, and/or BDSM.

The Scorch Challenge:

Read twenty forbidden books in the sub-genre’s of erotica, erotica romance, and/or BDSM. 

• All of the challenge information and Mr. Linky will be housed for the entire year under the "Challenge" button at the top of the blog. Keep checking back for reading suggestions and updates throughout the year!! We may also be adding some fun things that you'll not want to miss!!

So... Can You Take the Heat?

What is old, is new again....

I guess everyone is wondering what I mean by that title....
Well, I had started this blog earlier, but then I got to looking at the contents, and thought---this blog is blah looking; if I was checking out blogs to follow, I would pass this on by.

Well, with that said, Welcome to my blog---again. I started "Good Reads by Me-Terry", because I love to read but don't get the chance to as much as I would like, and I love to meet new people. I figured with this blog, I could do both at the same time: read new books and post my review, and check out other book review blogs and make new friends.

I have other blogs as well: "The Write Stuff by Terry" is the blog where I post updates on my writing career. I am not just stuck with one genre; unlike my review blog, where I mostly read adult-oriented books, my writing blog has something for everybody's taste.
"A Cook's In the Kitchen" is my blog for everything food: recipes, book and product reviews, menu planning, party planning and more.
"La Parties by Ellen" is the blog for my adult party business, featuring For Your Pleasure adult novelties.
